“With all humility and gentleness, with patience,
bearing with one another in love,
eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
|| The Beginning ||
God started planning this day well before I received an e-mail from Taylor (bride) with her wedding details and super friendly vibes she types in her e-mail. She and I had both known someone, who I was lucky to meet during a small group season while attending Lighthouse Church in Glen Burnie, Maryland. I truly believe God places us in certain areas of our lives, for us to meet people, then to be introduced to others, and to have each person along the way, either show you or you show them something new about life that God wants to reveal.
Through Taylor Leigh (bride) and Taylor Lee (groom) who, now, officially have the same first, middle and last names, God was about to show me something wonderful in life using their pure hearts.
He was about to show me what true commitment, real obedience, and unconditional love looks like when walking with Jesus in a relationship/marriage, only to overflow into their future children's lives, and walking out our main purpose on this earth, and that sharing the Gospel. When hardships come, they will turn to God. When blessings comes and prayers are answered, they will turn to thank God. When they wake up in the morning, they will count their blessings, and continue to walk out God's Will for His purposes! They will always keep him in the center, because they've given their lives fully to Him, and they know His word while also having built a strong personal relationship with Him, who keeps promises, and holds our right hand!
|| The Wedding ||
When I received the phone call from Taylor (bride) about 2 months before their wedding, during a time of a pandemic, I knew I had to be strong for her, little did she know in the long run, she and Taylor (groom) were about to be strong for me, too.
Because they chose me to be part of their wedding day, even with the last minute details all coming together just as God had planned, with both of their parents in attendance and family and friends watching via Zoom, while maintaining social distancing, I, myself, had a moment as she was approaching Taylor Lee (Groom), that this is IT! This is what God has designed marriage for! They've been obedient to Him, and this is what I want! I want this for all of my brides and grooms, friends and family, and for my future husband and I! And it all started from their personal decision to walk with Jesus, everyday, and to give people, like me and you, the strength to keep walking, and keep pressing into Him!
To Mr. & Mrs. Taylor Wilson, thank you for being a beautiful example our world needs to witness. Whether that is through your photos, in person or via Zoom during a pandemic wedding, that even the Devil, himself, couldn't stop this marriage from happening!
You made it happen, regardless of everything that could have stopped this day!! And it all happened, underneath a Willow Tree, that represents "standing firm and withstanding the greatest of challenges."
And it was one of the most beautiful days in my photography history to witness, and it all started, with God placing me in a room with other Jesus followers, knowing exactly what he was going to use me for, and that was for your story, and you for mine! For me to give you strength to make this YOUR day, and for both you and Taylor to remind me of what a real, Jesus loving, God pressing, marriage looks like.
I felt it in the air, especially as I watched your parents wipe tears from their faces, and with those watching on Zoom, I know you also felt it, too. And now, to your friends and family, you get to see the behind the scenes of the day that was perfectly chosen for Mr. & Mrs. Taylor Wilson!
